Day 1: Kigali To Queen Elizabeth National Park

07am: Today morning, pick up from Kigali and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The tour will take you through the stunning landscapes of western Uganda and get you to the park by early afternoon. we proceed enroute to our lodge through the famed Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park to spot various species of wild animals.

The Kasenyi plains are found in the vast savannahs of the Albertine Rift in Queen Elizabeth National Park and it will be a morning full of adventure! Expect to encounter lions, herds of buffalos, elephants, Uganda kobs, topi, and bushbucks. While spotting the ‘big five’ in the park is not guaranteed, on a lucky day, you may sight leopards to make it the‘big four.’ After lunch, join the Kazinga Channel boat cruise for an afternoon of wild game viewing. We’ll have the chance to spot crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and a wide range of bird species on the channel waters

Day 2: Morning Game Drive And Transfer To Bwindi National Park

Early morning breakfast, afterwards you’ll start your morning with a game drive where you can expect to spot different wildlife species such as elephants, buffaloes, side-striped jackals, hyena, leopards, lions, warthogs, Uganda kobs, and giant forest hogs. What a way to start your day!
Later we leave Queen and transfer to Mgahinga National Park, arrive late in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking • Mgahinga National Park • Kigali

Today, we embark on our gorilla safari adventure in Mgahinga National Park, beginning with a 30-minute transfer to the park headquarters at 07:30hr to meet our guides. After completing park formalities, we will trek for two to four hours through thick brush and rugged terrain at elevations of 7,000 to 9,000 feet.

During our trek, we may encounter stinging nettles and red ants. We will have the extraordinary opportunity to spend one hour with the mountain gorillas, a breathtaking experience as we get within meters of these rare primates. It’s essential to bring good hiking boots, long trousers, gloves, snacks, and sufficient water.

The trek can be strenuous, but the chance to observe these magnificent creatures up close is unforgettable. After our trek, we return to our lodge around 1pm, freshen up, have lunch, and then transfer back to Kigali, arriving late in the evening for drop-off at your hotel or residence.
